You can now buy the District 12 shooting location from The Hunger Games
Have you ever wanted to own a movie prop? Now you can own the ultimate movie prop! District 12! Well, if you have $1.4 million that is.
THR is reporting that Henry River Mill Village, AKA District 12, and all of its 72 acres is up for sale. The area is about 70 miles away from Asheville, North Carolina and is near the town of Hildebran.
The mill actually burned down in 1977 but the area still hosts 20 buildings. The other things it hosts? Crazed Hunger Games fans visiting the area. Current owner Wade Sheperd isn’t pleased and you probably wouldn’t be either. Well, unless you get smart and charge people to take a look. After all, Movies.com says that the Division of Tourism has created a four-day tour to take visitors to the various locations the film filmed at. [THR via Movies.com]
