I can’t say enough about the premise of this idea. Take Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, turn them into rival over-the-top political candidates and let them lose, then release it right in the middle of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaigns.

As for the execution, I can say less. It certainly looks like its got some funny moments, but it’s not laugh out loud funny. It’s more like oh man, I can’t believe that funny. It’s directed by Jay Roach, who’s the man behind Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, the first two Austin Powers films and HBO’s political films Recount and Game Change. So basically, it’s fusing the two things Roach likes to do best – comedy and politics.
