People loved Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s cookie couple in the movie Knocked Up. They literally stole the show. So for his latest film director Judd Apatow decided to revisit that couple and their struggle in turning 40.

And it looks … well, not very funny. Perhaps I don’t get the humor because I’m not turning 40. But this movie seems to have gone away from what made the couple so fun in the first place. Rudd was this kind of goofball I-don’t-give-a-shit kind of guy while Mann was kind of crazy. They’re both toned down here.

Hopefully this is just to introduce the problem and the following trailers are more funny. Although I’m kind of doubting this is supposed to be a laugh-riot. Perhaps it’s supposed to be a dramedy. Either way, let’s hope this movie produces more laughs in the future.
