Watch the teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man

Here it is, the second big trailer of the week and a highly anticipated one as well. Watch it below.

It’s pretty buff for a teaser trailer, but I’m not complaining. You can see that it emphasizes the character of Peter Parker rather than action. This one is all about story, and that’s a tremendously good thing. Spiderman 3 went the wrong way when it became about how big the film could get and let the story just deflate.

The film opens July 3, 2012 and is directed by Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Dennis Leary. What do you think of the teaser? [The Movie List via Slashfilm]

    Garfield looks great. I’m afraid too much of that 1st person webslinging is going to make a lot of people throw up. Especially in 3d.
