People are afraid of offending police officers. That authority is something they don’t want to cross, and that’s the essentially the premise of Compliance. The film is based on true events about two good friends: a young cashier at a fast food restaurant and the middle-aged manager.
The two are in emotional distress for various reasons. It’s busy, the girl needs her job, the manager is stressed out because nothing is going right and then something happens to turn it all on its head. The police call and accuse the young cashier of stealing from a customer. What happens is a spiral down and some captivating events.
The trailer certainly looks good, and once you get the idea of what’s going on it’ll catch you and won’t let you go. This is certainly a film to look out for.
