Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s The Thing has gotten a red band trailer. In it, you’ll get to see more of the thing and some of the shape-shifting effects.

I’m still iffy on this movie, just because the original was all about tension and wondering who was an alien and who wasn’t. This one seems to be going for that, but there’s A LOT of the the alien. I’d much rather see less of it and not know who it is or where it is.

Hopefully it’s just PR and marketing to sell the film, but I can’t seem to shake the feeling. [via Comingsoon]
