Academy Award winning director Ang Lee hasn’t been too busy since he won for Brokeback Mountain. He had that decent Woodstock film but that’s about it. He is now returning with Life of Pi, and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

It’s based on Yann Martel’s famous  book and is about a boy who survives a shipwreck and ends up on a raft … with a fearsome Bengal Tiger. The film is a fantasy movie, which is why it looks quite fantastical at points. But oh my, did you see how beautiful it looks? It looks like a moving painting at times!

As long as reviews hold up we have one of the front runners for the Oscars on our hands with Life of Pi.
