Woah there Meryl Streep, we all know you’re the Michael Jordan of acting. No need to go all crazy on us now. Watch the teaser below.

The Iron Lady is about the life of Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, starring Meryl Streep as Thatcher. The focus of the film, apparently, is on the price she paid for power. This trailer reminds me heavily of The King’s Speech, minus a King and add a Prime Minister. Working on speech and image and all that. Bit eery.

The trailer just shows a little of Streep, but her accent seems spot on. I’m not too thrilled about the film, mostly because its helmed by Mamma Mia director Phyllida Lloyd, but that hasn’t stopped Streep from being excellent in the past. Also concerning: Streep’s fake teeth. They SEEM fake. It looks like she has a bunch of cotton balls in her mouth, but I digress. [YouTube via Moviefone]
