Watch hundreds of people waddle into the grand opening of new California Adventure and Cars Land
Today is a huge day for Disney’s California Adventure. The park officially re-opened with huge changes and a fairly significant change of vision. The entire first part of California Adventure has been changed with Buena Vista Street, which was made to look like Los Angeles when Walt Disney first arrived in the city.
The second huge change is a new land called Cars Land, which is based off Pixar’s smash hit Cars. Now, California Adventure hasn’t lived up to expectations since it opened in 2001. It was an ode to California with rides like an old-timey wooden rollercoaster and Soarin’ Over California, which takes you on a visual journey of the Golden State. Now? Now California Adventure is more of a look at California from both Walt Disney and Disney’s eyes.
More of their famous characters are involved and the saying “What Would Walt Do?” is perhaps the driving force of anything new they debut at the park. And it all looks pretty damn awesome. The video is provided by the good folks at Inside the Magic.
