If everything goes according to plan, Flight may be a pretty special movie. It’ll mark a return to form for Denzel Washington, who has been in some spotty stuff in the past couple years. It’ll also mark the return of Robert Zemeckis, the director of Back to the Future and Forest Gump.

Zemeckis has been running around making animated films and experimental stuff, but he’s finally back. Flight looks good. It’s about a pilot who saved a plane from crashing and killing everyone on board, but he was found to have been drinking while flying so there’s some controversy.

It looks like the role will test Washington and could rise up to Oscar contender for some awards – maybe. What do you think?
