Watch Bradley Cooper steal Jeremy Irons’ life story in the trailer for The Words
The Words is one of the movies making it’s debut at the Cannes Film Festival and it looks quite interesting.
Bradley Cooper plays a struggling writer that steals the life story of Jeremy Irons for his book. Apparently there’s another story on top of that one with Dennis Quaid and Olivia Wilde, but eh. It’s supposed to be Inception but with literary fiction.
Anyway, the trailer is pretty interesting until the second half when that song kicks in and it begins to look like a Nicholas Sparks’ movie or a CW TV show. And hey, voice overs in trailers rarely work out well. It makes movies seem lower budget than they are. But hey, at least it has an interesting premise. And it’s got a pretty darn good cast: Bradley Cooper, Dennis Quaid, Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde and Jeremy Irons.
