Trouble with the Curve trailer: Clint Eastwood bonds with his daughter
Look what we have here. Clint Eastwood is taking a little break from directing to star in a movie. He puts on his familiar Gran Torino growl and stars as an old-school baseball scout in Trouble with the Curve.
His daughter (Amy Adams) comes along and helps him when his eyesight goes to shit so he needs someone to help him out. He also has a problem with keeping people at-bay and not letting them get close. Oh, and then Justin Timberlake comes along and falls in love with his daughter. It’s got a pretty good cast, but it all feels a little generic. It’s like if you took Moneyball and tossed it into a blender with a generic father-daughter-daughter’s boyfriend movie and then put it on “boring.”
I do like Eastwood though. Adams is quite awesome at that acting thing as well. And oh, Timberlake has certainly grown. Would you have thought that that crazy boy band kid would star opposite Clint freakin’ Eastwood in a movie? Prolly not.
