Trailer: RZA makes his directorial debut with kung fu flick The Man With the Iron Fists

RZA has been a Quentin Tarantino collaborator for quite some time. If you remember, he’s done the music for Kill Bill. So now it looks like Tarantino is giving RZA his big directorial debut with The Man With the Iron Fists.

It’s a martial arts epic set in the 19th century China with some heavy magical stuff involved. Like hey, Bautista can grow golden armor skin and blood can fly in circles or whatever. Generally, this looks like a fun watch. It’s sure to have some good music (It’s RZA dude). Oh, it also marks the acting debut for RZA and he co-wrote it with another Tarantino collaborator, Eli Roth. The film surprisingly co-stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu as well, so you shouldn’t TOTALLY be worried about the acting.

I also like how at the end the film showed how self-aware it could be. Yeah, that was a goofy yell – now make fun of it! Remember, not everything has to be a deep character drama. Sometimes you can sit back and have fun.
