Sometimes there are big trailers you expect. Everyone is waiting for The Dark Knight Rises trailers, for example. And then there are the days where you get a surprise like Prototype.

It’s from the Bandito Brothers, who brought us interesting military movie Act of Valor. Now they’re bringing us The Prototype from director/writer Andrew Will. This movie isn’t even on IMDb, that’s how left field this movie is. It literally came from no where, but it looks amazingly interesting.

It’s about a smart guy who looks to have some sort of malignant brain tumor, and he’s working on a way to evolve humans into machines – most probably to save himself. He has this robot suit kind of thing that looks like the fish guy from Hellboy, but it enhances his human abilities. He seems to be stealthier and see better.

It’s a really interesting trailer and actually looks a lot like a viral video for some video game, but it has me intrigued. It’s always nice to see something or someone new break into films and get people excited. Here’s hoping Andrew Will has what it takes.
