David O. Russell’s follow up to The Fighter has been highly anticipated by some circles. Other circles not so much because they didn’t like The Fighter, but he’s a talented director so his upcoming projects warrant some attention.

Especially when your upcoming project includes Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. Cooper plays a high school teacher who was in a mental institution. He believes he’s been in for months but he’s been in for four years and has plans to reconcile with his estranged wife. Except, well, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

What we see here is what looks like a well-acted, well-directed family drama. If you’re into those you’re going to want to pay attention. If not, then hot damn you should skip this.
