Tom Hardy is over in Cannes right now promoting John Hillcoat’s Lawless and he’s prepping for his new movie Mad Max 4. The problem? He doesn’t know when the movie starts shooting.

No one tells me anything

Either co-star Charlize Theron is more organized or no one likes Hardy and they forgot to tell, but Theron has revealed that shooting (or at least shooting for her) starts on June 2nd. She told MTV:

We’ve had a lot of time to talk about it, and we’ve also had some rehearsal. I think you have to find the positive out of something like that, waiting that long to do a film.

The film has been delayed for three years now. Director George Miller casted the duo back in 2009 and the film has been on the backburner ever since. In fact, Theron initially turned down both Young Adult and Prometheus to do Mad Max 4, but ended up seeing both films finished and release just as she gets ready for the crazy car combat film.

The film is really called Mad Max: Fury Road and it’s about a convoy of girls known as the Five Wives who are being chased by the villains. I’m assuming Hardy’s Max (who’s been re-imagined) is the guy who saves the day (duh). Now, someone just has to let Hardy know he needs to get to the set ASAP. [The Playlist]
