Disney and Marvel are eyeing a 2013 release for the sequel to the hit comic book movie Thor. Now they just need a director.

The director of the original, Kenneth Branagh, will not be helming the sequel and will instead help produce the film. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman will both appear in it as well. Portman has said she’s signed on for multiple films and Hemsworth well, he is Thor.

No details on what its about yet, that depends on what happens in The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon. Iron Man 3 will also his theaters in Summer 2013, which will be the summer of Marvel. [Deadline via Filmonic]
