This is what Russell Crowe looks like as Jor-El in Man of Steel
One of the most buzzed about castings for Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan’s Man of Steel was Russell Crowe as Jor-El, the father of Superman.
For good reason too, he’s an Academy Award winner and all-around badass. And he’s playing Superman’s father!
Now we get our first look at him. He seems to be sporting some sort of armor, complete with signature S, on top of the same skin-tight material Henry Cavill’s Superman was spotted wearing. Also, it’s completely different from the all white costume Marlon Brando’s Jor-El wore. This is more regal, more royal. It’s like a weird mix of Game of Thrones and Anthony Hopkins’ Odin from Thor. I dig it. [The Daily Mail via Movies.com]
