One of the more hyped performances next year is going to be Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln. So much so that many are considering him a lock for the Oscar.

Now, Michael Phillips has snapped this photo of Day-Lewis looking Lincoln-esque in a restaurant in Virginia. He’s taking a break from shooting, no doubt, hence the Steve Jobs look he has going on there.

But there’s some presidential about him in this picture. He looks the part. In fact, he looks a lot like Lincoln. Look at that beard! Look at that profile! And to think people don’t accept as Lincoln because he isn’t American. It doesn’t matter, he can act.

Some people are saying he hasn’t broken his Lincoln accent since March, and that’s totally believable. He’s one of the more dedicated actors in the world.
