This is the one thing that every Steven Spielberg movie has in common

Everyone has seen a Steven Spielberg movie. And most people have seen multiple. So go back in your mind and try to remember: What’s the one thing they all had in common?

Do you think you have it? You sure? Because you might be wrong. The major thing every film has in common is The Spielberg Face. It’s a shot that’s been in every one of his movies, often multiple times. What it is is a character has their eyes open staring off in wonder not able to say a word. Often, the camera will be zooming into the character’s face.

It’s probably one of Spielberg’s lasting legacies in film. It’s been imitated many times since he practically coined it. You know all those shots in Transformers of Megan Fox or that other girl staring in wonder while destruction happens around them? That’s Spielberg. And yes, Michael Bay is smart enough to use it. It’s a fascinating watch. I guarantee you won’t be able to not notice it after you watch this video. [Fandor via Movies.com]
