This is the guy that’s in the Iron Man suit when the visor is down

Sorry to break the illusion but Robert Downey Jr. doesn’t spend all that time in that tin suit. No no, he’s only in the suit when the faceplate is up. Otherwise, it’s all a guy named Clay Fontenot.

Now, he’s not always in the suit as a good portion of Iron Man in the suit is CG. Because, well, it’s not easy moving well in a metal suit. But when that face is closed and you strain your eyes and see realistic metal rather than glossed-over computer magic you’ll know who it is.

This guy:

Samuel L. Jackson gave him props last night on the Twitterverse:

He’s appeared in over 60 films, and a lot that you’ve probably heard about or seen. The Fast and the Furious films, Blade, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Quantum of Solace, the Book of Eli and later this  year  you’ll be able to see him in Django Unchained.

I know actors get the accolades but guys like Fontenot bust their asses for the film too. Give them some props sometime. [Movies.com]
