What will Christopher Nolan do after The Dark Knight Rises? I don’t know. But I want it to be a Bond film. Back in early June, Nolan said the following.

It [Bond] would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things

And he’s also said he likes this kind of character.

Luckily I managed to find another wealthy, quirky character who’s orphaned at a young age.

Nolan is an admitted fan of the James Bond franchise and wants to do a Bond film, but with his statements here it looks like he’d want to choose his own Bond and start fresh, in a way. Bond producer Michael G. Wilson has said that he wants current Bond Daniel Craig to do 5 more films, but that could be too long (about 12 years) for Craig to dedicate to a franchise.

Or, Craig could give up the tuxedos after Skyfall and Nolan could take the reigns of the franchise for a bit. Well, who would play Bond? How about Michael Fassbender?

This fake trailer for Nolan’s version of Bond with Fassbender as the iconic character may get you a tad excited for the prospect, but it’s still a pipe dream at this point. But wouldn’t this be absolutely perfect? [via Movies.com]
