There will be a re-imagining of Romeo and Juliet starring either Keira Knightley or Lily Collins
This isn’t a remake. It’s a re-imagining. Kinda like Climate Control isn’t Global Warming. Or, something like that. Who needs science.
Anyway, this is actually an interesting idea. This film would tell the tale of Romeo and Juliet, BUT not from their view. It would tell it from the view of Rosaline, and the film is called Rosaline as well. Rosaline is the girl Romeo is lovestruck with at the beginning of the play, but he eventually falls for Juliet.
Of course, whether it’s Keira Knightley to play Rosaline or Lily Collins, one of them will have to be uglied.
Oh, and in case you thought this were an original thought: It’s not. It’s based on the upcoming book Wish You Were Mine by Rebecca Serles, who actually likes Roswell actress Shiri Appleby for the role. Yeah, probably should stick to Knightley or Collins.
Potential snag, though: Both actresses are quite busy at the moment. Who do you think would be good as Rosaline? [Vulture via The Playlist]
