You ever wonder how they made the Xenomorph alien in Alien? It musta bugged you, I mean they didn’t have CG back then and it’s definitely not a puppet. It’s a 6’10 Nigerian actor named Bolaji Badejo.

New footage has been found on the Internet of Badejo in his underwear with the Alien head practicing alien movements. All right, it sounds stupid but it’s actually pretty damn creepy. Perhaps it’s the music, or that Badejo is so skilled that he doesn’t look human, but it’s damned creepy for sure.

Badejo never appeared in another film, but he sure did make an impact in Alien. He helped craft one of the greatest creatures in film history. The dude worked with artist HR Giger to figure out the alien’s movements and couldn’t stay in the suit for longer than 20 minutes because he’d pass out due to heat exhaustion. So I’ll say it here, thanks Badejo for giving us one of the greatest film creatures in history. [i09 via Movies.com]
