Chalk this up to Rocketeer director Joe Johnston’s surprisingly awesome Captain America doing very well at the box office.

Many people were clamoring for The Rocketeer to be released on Blu Ray after Johnston returned to the scene in a big way with Captain America, and now it’s happening. Amazon is taking pre-orders for $18.49. I have a feeling the better this film does on Blu Ray the better chance there will be of a sequel to The Rocketeer, something Johnson is interested in making.
