Glee is a huge TV hit. It’s campy, it’s fun and for a lot of people it ruins the music they love. But it works. People enjoy it, including myself.

That seems to be the angle Rock of Ages is going for. It has the exact tone of the show. Of course, it’s based on a Broadway hit, but wow does this look like something I don’t want to watch. Sure, it’s filled with stars like Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Catherine Zeta-Jones, but wow. Just wow.

Will people pay $10 to see this in theaters? I’m not so sure. Will people rent it or watch it for free on HBO or add it to their Netflix queues? Sure, I can see that.

Speaking of a Glee movie, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a REAL movie down the road. Not some concert thing.
