Lee Daniels The Paperboy has had a bunch of hype. I mean, any movie where Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman get together and Kidman pees on Efron has to have hype pre-installed. But then a trailer comes out and you’re as confused as hell.

I have no clue what’s going in the trailer. I don’t know whether it’s a drama, a light hearted comedy, a horror film or a dark comedy. That’s due to the tonal shifts every 15 seconds. All I got is that Kidman wants to get out her husband dude but Efron and Kidman get it on and that complicates things.

Kidman got a lot of praise for her role, so expect to see this film floating around during Oscar season. I really do hope this is just a terribly cut trailer and doesn’t portray the quality of the film. It also stars John Cusack, Macy Gray and Matthew McConaughey and is due out October 5.
