Did you know there’s a reboot of the Mad Max films in the works? And that it’s set to star Tom Hardy? And that it would launch a potential trilogy? Are you getting excited? Well, relax for a second. There has been a lot of pre-production trouble on this film. It’s taking forever to get off the ground, but it looks like there’s some lift.

New Mad Max Tom Hardy recently said that the film would start production in April, which would make it difficult for the movie to hit in 2012. But now, people have sighted some of the potential vehicles that will be used during the new movie. The vehicles, especially the tanker, look absolutely insane. And insanely perfect as well.

According to the article, the vehicles were spotted near Cape Cross, Namibia, which is apparently where the film will take place/shoot. Tom Hardy as Mad Max? Awesome vehicles? This new trilogy is off to a good start. Hopefully it doesn’t fall apart. [Republikein via Ain't It Cool]
