We can all admit that the first G.I. movie sucked harder than a leech. The trailer for that thing debuted during the Super Bowl and was met with “meh” across the country. This new one? It ups the action times 10 and adds some fun acts.

One thing, this trailer shows that Channing Tatum is in the movie … but it looks like he dies. It doesn’t matter too much though as The Rock is pront and center this time and joined by Bruce Willis and Friday Night Lights Adrianne Palicki.

The special effects look much improved as well. I’m going to guess that’s because they didn’t use CGI for every small friggin’ detail like they did in the first. Instead, they use it for the big stuff like: London imploding, the creation of an avalanche, little flying mosquito things and some other crazy stuff.

It also looks like there’s some sort of story going on here. Something about Cobra trying to take over the world and destroying it and bringing back the original Joe and then The Rock goes rogue. Whatever, we all just want to see stuff blow up. When will villains realize that blowing up the world is counterproductive? Anyway, G.I. Joe Retaliation is out June 29.
