The Hobbit trailer may be attached to The Adventures of Tintin

A little while ago Andy Serkis said the trailer for The Hobbit was “just around the corner,” which led people to think that the trailer was going to come out with either Sherlock Holmes 2 or Tintin. Now, Elijah Wood, who reprises his role as Frodo Baggins for The Hobbit says he thinks it’ll arrive with Tintin.

He spoke with Digital Spy about the trailer:

“I have not seen it. I have spoken to people about the trailer, I have a sense of what’s going to be in it,” he told Digital Spy. “I think it’s going to be in front of Tintin when it’s released in the States.”

Wood admitted that returning to New Zealand to work on the JRR Tolkien adaptation was like “a family reunion”.

“So many of the crew and some of the cast who were working on Lord of the Rings are working on The Hobbit as well,” he commented. “In a way it feels like stepping back in time, some of the same people are there on set. It was kind of emotional, I didn’t really anticipate that.”

So there you have it, straight from a hobbit’s mouth. Now, will we see footage from just the first Hobbit or the second as well? There are two parts. One will arrive in 2012 and the second in 2013. I just hope it’s a full trailer and not a teaser, but that might be asking too much with a year to go. [Digital Spy via Filmonic]
