The Cabin in the Woods will arrive on DVD and Blu Ray on September 18

One of the best movies of the year is going to come to DVD, Blu Ray and Video On Demand this fall, and you should totally buy it. This movie is nothing like you’ve seen. It’s smart, it’s funny and it’s just a great experience.

Lionsgate has finally released the info on what the discs will contain and when it’ll come out. You’ll be able to get your hands on it on September 18 and the package will include the following:

  • Commentary with writer/director Drew Goddard & writer/producer Joss Whedon
  • “We Are Not Who We Are: Making The Cabin in the Woods” Documentary
  • “The Secret Secret Stash” Featurette: “Marty’s Stash” & “Hi, My name is Joss and I’ll be your guide”
  • Wonder-Con Q&A with Joss & Drew (also included with digital download version)
  • “An Army of Nightmares: Make-Up & Animatronic Effects” featurette
  • “Primal Terror: Visual Effects” featurette
  • “It’s Not What You Think: The Cabin in the Woods” Bonus View Mode (Blu-ray Exclusive)

That’s a ton of content smashed into there, and that’s why the discs are a little more expensive than usual. The Blu Ray will cost $40 while the DVD will cost $30. Neither package is available for pre-order or order on Amazon yet, but when they are we’ll let you know. You can review our Cabin in the Woods review here. [IGN]
