I’ve been noticing that quite a few people watch the trailer for Prometheus and get super excited. Hell, Alien was a great movie so you should get excited when Ridley Scott comes back to do a prequel with a script from the lead writer on Lost.

But people get more excited when they see this:

Tom Hardy!? He’s in Prometheus!? OH MAN!

Relax, he’s not in Prometheus. You’re looking at Logan Marshall-Green. He was in The OC as a side character and has been in Across the Universe and Devil too. Don’t know him? Yeah, well you’re about to.

Marshall-Green is actually older than Hardy, but not as muscular. LMG is from South Carolina while Hardy is from the United Kingdom across the pond. But yeah, it’s definitely easy to mistake them.

So now you know. When you’re in the theater or someone asks you “hey, Tom Hardy is in this right?” You can calmly and nicely respond: No, kind person of Earth. That was Logan Marshall-Green. Tom Hardy is not in this movie-film.

Prometheus hits theaters tomorrow. The Dark Knight Rises, which does have Hardy in it, hits July 20. [Vulture]
