You know when politicians and parental groups go crazy about a violent movie or video game because it’ll influence a child to do violent things? Yeah, they should probably apply that to teachers and R-rated comedies.
A teacher in Malibu, CA slapped a student repeatedly trying to re-enact Bridesmaids. Yeah, this actually happened. Apparently, the student had forgotten her textbooks on May 22. The teacher seemed to snap and made the 14-year-old girl stand up in front of the class. She then asked her whether she saw Bridesmaids and began to repeatedly slap her. She was trying to re-enact the following scene:
The student and her parents went to the authorities and the teacher has issued an apology letter, but the family doesn’t feel that’s enough. Yeah, that probably isn’t.
