Spider-Man Tries To Redeem Himself In The New SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Trailer
Yo damn

In Captain America: Civil War we saw a Peter Parker and Spider-Man that got to play with the big boys. He was a kid, and he was a kid who was desperately trying to prove himself to everyone around him. That theme is going to continue in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Firstly, I love all the beginning bits where we see him kind of relish how cool his friend thinks him being Spider-Man is. He stole Cap’s shield! And then things get serious, and then he finds out that Tony Stark was right, he’s not ready for all of this big stuff yet.

He thinks the suit makes him who he is, but that’s not true. He needs to redeem himself, and it looks like a lot of that will happen in his older suit rather than the new fancy one. He needs to figure out how to go about not wanting to impress people when he’s doing the superhero thing. He just needs to do it.

This is a natural progression from Civil War, and it looks like it’s going to be the right choice. It also kind of feels like we’re seeing the majority of Robert Downey Jr’s involvement in these trailers. I’m pretty sure Peter Parker will be going it alone for most of the movie.
