Seth Rogen has an Oscar pick. Yes, he gets to vote for movies that get Academy Awards. He isn’t falling for The Artist’s hype. No no, his favorite movie of the year was the latest Mission Impossible.

“It got no love from the awards whatsoever,” Rogen said in a conference call. “I loved that fucking movie. It was great … I’m an Oscar voter. I voted for it.”

It’s refreshing to see that Rogen doesn’t care and voted for a movie many people really liked, rather than a movie the older Academy members love. At heart, Rogen is still an outsider to the Oscars.

When Clint Eastwood won for Million Dollar Baby him and Jay Baruchel were sitting in his apartment stoned. In Eastwood’s speech he thanked Jay and Rogen realized that the people at the Awards were aware of his friends.

His friends include James Franco, who’s often criticized for his performance at last year’s Oscars. Rogen defended that, saying they hired a young guy but gave him Billy Crystal’s monologue.

Unfortunately, Rogen’s own movie 50/50 didn’t get as much love as it should have. But don’t worry Rogen, I would have voted for you for sure. [VF via Moviefone]
