The role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was one of the most wanted roles in Hollywood this past year. It’s a fantastic role that Rooney Mara absolutely nailed.

There were some other girls in the running though. Scarlett Johansson almost stole the role away from Mara, but was too sexy. Natalie Portman was in contention. Almost every actress in Hollywood that was of age wanted this role.
