Damn you, Robert Downey Jr.’s ankle! The world is waiting on you. We want Iron Man 3 but then you had to go and get all hurt so now there’s a sliver of a chance we have to wait for you to heal or whatever. How selfish could you be? I mean – this isn’t about you. This is about the millions of people who are ready to fork over $10 plus another $7 for food and drink to watch Downey Jr. snark his way through a movie about robot armor. Damn it, movies are expensive.

Disney released this statement today to confirm that – yes – RDJ has injured his ankle and the production of Iron Man 3 is on a short delay until it heals.

“While performing a stunt on the set of Iron Man 3, Robert Downey Jr. sustained an injury to his foot. There will be a short delay in production while he recuperates.”

They don’t have some prototype Iron Man armor they can install on his ankle to heal it? Or to keep it safe?
