The first Silent Hill film came out in 2006 and Christopher Gans’ effort was actually pretty good. I believe it still stands today as one of the best video game adaptations out there.

It’s taken 6 years, but the sequel Silent Hill Revelations now has a trailer. It stars Sean Bean, Adelaide Clemens, Radha Mitchell and Game of Thrones’ Kit Harrington.

It’s going to take some explanation though as Bean plays a totally different character this time. His character is taken into the world and his daughter Heather has to go get him. Fans of Silent Hill 3 will recognize a lot of the story, and there seems to be a string connecting this to the first, but how remains unknown.

If it can replicate the creepy atmosphere of the first this could be a winner. The trailer already shows off the terrifying sirens to great effect.
