Red Dawn trailer: Chris Hemsworth leads a revolution against a North Korean occupancy

Remember that 1984 Red Dawn movie? It started Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen and it was about a group of young men who led a revolution against their Soviet Union/Cuban/Nicaraguan occupiers?

This is the remake of that. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson (of Hunger Games fame), Josh Peck (of Drake and Josh fame), Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) and Isabel Lucas (hot Transformers 2 girl). Jeffrey Dean Morgan also appears here as does a guy who looks a lot like Sean Bean (he dies too).

This looks like a pretty fun time. The director of the original Red Dawn actually wrote the recent game called Homefront, which has a similar presence. So if you connect the two dots that’s what you’re connecting. The original was also the first film with a PG-13 rating and was known to be very violent. And uh, some people called it the NRA’s wet dream. No word on whether this new one will be anything like that, but you’d have to be blind not to think so.
