Prometheus and Lost writer Damon Lindelof is rewriting some of Brad Pitt’s World War Z

If you’re looking forward to Brad Pitt zombie movie World War Z it’s time to temper your expectations. First, the movie was delayed six months for reshoots and now the film is bringing on Prometheus and Lost writer Damon Lindelof to re-write the final act of the film.

That’s no bueno all around. It’s very likely the film turns into a patchwork mess, but hopefully director Marc Forster and star/producer Brad Pitt can turn it into something wildly entertaining. Reshoots are scheduled in September or October with the film set to release in June.

Now that Lindelof is free of Prometheus he should have some time to work on this. We already know the film isn’t really based on the book, but is more inspired by the book. So who knows what this thing is about. I’ll be happy with Brad Pitt fighting zombies, but we’re probably not going to get that either. [THR]
