Pixar’s John Lasseter paid tribute to Steve Jobs at Walk of Fame ceremony
John Lasseter and his team at Pixar changed animated movies forever. But according to Lasseter, none of it could have happened without Steve Jobs, who passed away on Oct. 5.
“Without Steve, Pixar wouldn’t exist,” a teary Lasseter said. “These films wouldn’t exist. I honor him.”
Lasseter also mentioned that Jobs only made one request of him: “Make it great.”
Jobs was instrumental in the formation of Pixar. He invested in them and took care of negotiations with Disney, not only getting himself a boardroom seat, but elevating Ed Catamull and Lasseter into more powerful positions at Disney.
