There’s something about these teaser trailers for The Master that’s spellbinding. I can’t tell whether it’s the acting, the visuals, the metronomic score or something else but it’s all fascinating.

The first teaser introduced us to Joaquin Phoenix’s character, who was lost and coming apart as a human. This second one shows us how Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s character is trying to save him from himself. Hoffman plays the leader of a religious cult of some kind, which Phoenix gets caught up in.

It’s amazingly fascinating, and I can’t wait to get a broader look at this film. [via Ain't It Cool]
