People at Cannes say Tarantino’s Django Unchained looks awesome
Over in France there’s a little film festival called Cannes happening. It’s kind of a big deal and it helps filmmakers sell their films to distribution companies across the world. Big movies like Lawless starring Tom Hardy and Moonrise Kingdom from Wes Anderson make their debut there.
That’s not the only thing though, other movies like Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master make their debut in a trailer format. Tarantino unleashed a seven minute trailer for his next film and the Internet went bonkers.
Here are some of the impressions from notable film bloggers/reporters/critics that went ape shit for the footage.
OMFG, “Django Unchained” looks so good. SO GOOD. #Cannes

There’s no telling when/if the Weinsteins release the footage, but we’re likely to see some footage by the end of summer. Cause, you know, the movie comes out in December.
