Official: Aaron Sorkin will write Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic
Yeah, forget that Ashton Kutcher Steve Jobs movie. This is the one you want to wait for. It’s from the guys that gave us The Social Network and Moneyball (read: they know how to make biopics about people who had a big impact on their industries) and now Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin has officially signed on to write the film, according to Variety. It’s based on Walter Isaacson’s best selling biography of Jobs.
Sorkin has his own way of doing dialogue (it’s like music) but that’s fine. Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t talk like how Sorkin writes and that movie turned out awesome. So adapting Steve Jobs won’t be too bad. Plus, Sorkin was friends with Jobs. Who better to work on this movie than him? Even though he just did a tech innovator’s film story…
It’s just a matter of time until a director gets involved. And then we can talk about casting. And no, no need to worry about any more Ashton Kutchers. [Variety]
