The Expendables 2 hasn’t even come out yet and we’re getting Expendables 3 talk. Producer Avi Lerner really wants to talk about the future. I suppose he, and pretty much everyone else, knows that Expendables 2 is going to be awesome and make buttloads of money so they might as well plan for the third.

The third one is apparently going to focus on more 80′s and 90′s superstars and male role models. This group is a bit older though and a lot more mainstream. And more exciting than ever. I’ll let Lerner tell you:

We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters].

Cage would definitely do Expendables 3. Because, well, he’ll do anything now. Ford and Eastwood would be a stretch, especially Eastwood. But could you imagine!? What if there were snakes and Stallone was like YO WATCH OUT. And then Ford is like WHY’D IT HAVE TO BE SNAKES!? And then Eastwood grumbles. Cage does his Cage thing and the world is at peace.
