Mondo’s Goonies poster sold out in less than a minute

We live in a world where the Internet can accelerate anything. Comic-Con tickets? Sold out in hours. Dark Knight Rises midnight show? 30 minutes. Mondo’s awesome new Goonies poster? Under a minute.

The famous movie art company said it would reveal the on sale information for the poster at a random time on Aug. 2. Today is Aug. 2, so at 8:48 a.m. PST they posted this tweet.

A minute later, they posted this.

The @MondoNews twitter account only has around 32,000 followers. So at any given time there could at least 100 people checking their timeline (maybe more because some would be glued to their phones all day for this poster). But boom. One minute. All 320 sold out. How the hell is anyone supposed to purchase something in one minute? No clue, I’d get stuck at inputting my credit card. So here’s a lesson: during online sales, input your information like there is a rabid shark after your ass.
