Remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action movies? They were pretty awesome. Hell, the Ninja Turtles are always awesome. Michael Bay thinks they could be better though.

Bay is producing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to be directed by Battlefield: LA director Jonathan Liebesman and he’s making some fans angry. Why? Because he wants to turn the Teenage MUTANT Ninja Turtles into aliens. Huh?

Bay said the following:

These turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.

HUH? I really hope Bay misspoke or something. This isn’t the Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles. They’re mutants and toxic sludge is what turned them into the awesome ninja turtles that they are. Slashfilm speculates that Bay was perhaps talking about the sludge being an alien substance from space, or something. Come on Michael Bay, we know you love aliens but jeez.
