Marvel boss provides updates on upcoming films Thor 2, Iron Man 3, Captain America 2 and more
The world premier of The Avengers was a couple of days ago, so naturally the crew behind Marvel’s giant blockbuster is talking. They’re not only talking about the movie, but future products as well.
Like Marvel boss Kevin Feige, who talked to Collider and told all that he could about the sequels to the studio’s biggest projects.
Thor 2The sequel to Thor will pick up right after the original ended (wait, where does The Avengers figure in)? Loki will return but will not be the main villain. The movie will focus on what’s going on in the Nine Realms.
Iron Man 3The first Iron Man was awesome. The second was disappointing (unless you like special effects). The third one? It’s going to be more like the first one, metaphorically at least. They’re going to strip Tony Stark of everything and make him use his intelligence to get out of it. He can’t call his buddies Thor and Captain America for help either. Not that Thor and Iron Man are friends.
Captain America 2The sequel to The First Avenger will take place after The Avengers. The Captain remains at S.H.I.E.L.D. and tries to figure out his place in the modern world. Feige says they’re trying to balance the amount of modern world with flashbacks to earlier times in his life. Feige also hints that The Falcon may make an appearance as Cap’s sidekick.
MoreThere’s a bunch of other stuff in his interview with Collider. You can head over there if you’re interested in a Dr. Strange movie, or Scott Pilgrim director Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. [Collider via Movies.com]
