Joss Whedon: Avengers DVD/Blu Ray to have 30 minutes of deleted scenes

If you loved The Avengers you’re going to want to pick up the DVD or Blu Ray of the film. Actually, you were probably going to pick one of those up anyway, but now you have another reason to salivate over the home video release: 30 extra minutes of content.

Joss Whedon tells Collider that the extra content on the DVD and Blu Ray contains a lot of character stuff, including more of Captain America adjusting to the modern world in his New York apartment.

If you’re a fan, you’re likely to go insane over the new content. If you aren’t, it’s probably going to make the movie drag a bit. I mean, The Avengers is great but it’s not perfect. There are definitely moments in the first hour where it tends to feel a little long. Then the last hour comes along, smacks you in the head and keeps you buckled in all the way to the end.

It’ll be interested to see if the DVD/Blu Ray will contain any hints to future Marvel films as well. We are talking about Marvel Studios here. [Collider via The Playlist]
