Joseph Gordon-Levitt is developing a Little Shop of Horrors remake
Best news of the day award goes to … Joseph Gordon-Levitt for developing a Little Shop of Horrors remake with Warner Bros.
Now, before you get mad about it being remade realize this: the Rick Moranis/Steve Martin film you saw in 1986 was a remake of 1960 Roger Corman movie, which inspired the off-Broadway musical, which was the reason the 1986 version was even made.
So really, it’s a remake of a remake. There is a catch, it’s being scripted by Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to script the film. If you remember, that Spider-Man play was pretty much a disaster.
But this movie does have the uber cool JGL, and if it all comes together he’ll be played Seymour. Hells to the yeah. [The Hollywood Reporter]
